What happens when you give a Levermore Global Scholar the opportunity to start an experiential-learning project?
2016-2018 - "Adopt-A-Future-Campaign"
In collaboration with UNA-USA, Levermore Global Scholars raise money for a school in the Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya.
2018 - Adelphi HerStory Writers Workshop
A Levermore Global Scholar brings an empowering story-sharing program that combines writing, tutoring, and mentoring to Adelphi's campus.
2018 – “Gun Violence Awareness Week”
A series of campus activities are organized by Levermore Global Scholars to educate the community on the legal, social, and psychological dimensions of gun violence.
2017 - "Pumpkins for Puerto Rico"
Pumpkin patch events are hosted by Levermore Global Scholars to raise funds in support of Puerto Rican hurricane relief efforts.
Micro-grants from the Levermore Global Scholars Program helped to cover transportation, administrative, and logistical costs associated with these experiential-learning projects.
Gifts made to the Levermore Global Scholars on Giving Day will provide additional micro-grants so more students can launch experiential-learning projects, attend training sessions and accept internships that examine complex issues and tackle global problems such as climate change, sustainability, world health, poverty, peacebuilding and human rights.
Partner with us and help us reach our goal of raising $1,000 to further our mission of preparing students to become global thinkers and leaders in a changing world!
You will never know all the ways your gift will have an impact on our students, campus, community, and beyond.
