The Swirbul Library, built in 1963, is named after Leon A. Swirbul, president and one of six founders of Grumman Aircraft Engineering Company, as well as an Adelphi Board of Trustees member from 1958–1960. Since its opening, the Swirbul Library has been committed to the success of its students.
Keeping its doors open 24 hours during finals, offering group study rooms, and lending out laptops, phone chargers and iPads are just a few ways that the Library supports its students. This Giving Day, the Library is aiming to meet yet another need: providing a Human Torso Anatomy Model to be used by students in the exercise science, nursing, and all health related and science programs. Students will be able to use this Model to study parts of the torso including: the brain, lungs, heart, liver, stomach, intestines, and more.
Help support our mission (and our students), and reach our goal of $1,500, with your gift!
